The Coalition for Safe Families consists of concerned organizations and individuals who are committed to ensuring that West Virginia families and children remain safe.
The Coalition was formed in response to a radical legislative agenda that has been proposed in West Virginia by a group calling themselves Men and Women Against Discrimination (MAWAD).
In an effort that appears aimed at reducing child support obligations, MAWAD proposals would establish a one size fits all approach to child custody decisions and place children in danger by increasing the burden of proof for child abuse allegations.
